1.     Main agenda:

The International Conference on “Thoughts on Human Sciences in Islam” has been and will be convened yearly;

  • The First International Conference on “Thoughts on Human Sciences in Islam” has been convened in Campus of ICAS-Sadra School of Islamic Philosophy (STFI) Sadra, Jakarta on 19-20 November 2014.
  • The Second International Conference on “Thoughts on Human Sciences in Islam” with the theme “Epistemology and Methodology for A New Paradigm of Human Sciences” has been convened in Building of BPPT II (Ministry office of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Republic of Indonesia), Third Floor, M.H. Thamrin Street No. 8, Central Jakarta on 18-19 November, 2015. 
  • The Up Coming is The Third International Conference on “Thoughts on Human Sciences in Islam” with the theme Human Sciences: Theory and Practice in Islamic Perspective”,  will be held in Jakarta.

2.     Supporting agenda:

This International Conference is accompanied with a Series of Pre-Conference Seminars in cooperation with several universities in Indonesia, are;

I. The First International Conference has held six pre-conference seminars in several universities:

  • Sadra School of Islamic Philosophy (STFI) Sadra, Jakarta
  • Paramadina University, with the theme “Islam Indonesia dan Kebudayaan”.
  • Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Yogyakarta, with the theme “Islam, Politics and Civil Society”.
  • Faculty of Ushuluddin and Humaniora of IAIN Antasari Banjarmasin, with the theme “Relevansi Filsafat Islam untuk Tradisi Keilmuan Indonesia”.
  • Faculty of Philosophy and Ushuluddin of UIN Sunan Ampel, Surabaya, with the theme “Islam, Politics and Religious Democracy”.
  • Faculty of Sharia and Law of UIN SYarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, with the theme “Syariah, Kemanusiaan dan Semangat Anti Korupsi”.

II. The Second International Conference has held eight pre-conference seminars in several universities:

  • Sadra International Institute, Jakarta on May 21, 2015 with the theme “Epistemologi dan Ilmu-ilmu Manusia (Sosial Humaniora) dalam Filsafat Islam dan Modern”.
  • Pusat Pengkajian Islam (PPI) of Universitas Nasional (UNAS – Jakarta) on May 27, 2015 with the theme “Economics and Environmental Crisis in The Islamic Perspective”. 
  • Faculty of Psychology of Universitas Indonesia (UI), Depok on June 11, 2015 with the theme “Emergensi dan Kreativitas: Dalam Tinjauan Teori Sistem, Tasawuf, Sosiologi dan Psikologi”.
  • Faculty of Adab and Humanities of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta on July 02, 2015 with the theme “Spirituality and Creativity Within Islamic Civilization”.
  • Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta on August 13, 2015 with the theme “Adakah HUbungan Organis-Alamiah antara Islam dan Kebudayaan?”.
  • Faculty of Ushuluddin and Humanities of IAIN Antasari, Banjarmasin on August 19 – 20, 2015 with the theme “Epistemology for Islamic Psychology”. 
  • Faculty of Ushuluddin of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang on September 29, 2015 with the theme “Kreativitas dalam Spiritualitas dan Pendidikan Islam”.
  • Hasanuddin University Makasar on October 31, 2015 with the theme “Science, Technology and Axiology in Islamic Perspective”.
